Turnaround Time "All turnaround times are listed in business days. The clock begins the day Chrysos Grading Services physically receives your submission and ends the day your order is shipped back out. Transit time to and from our facility is not included in the quoted turnaround window. Chrysos Grading Services makes every effort to meet posted turnaround times however they are estimates and not guarantees. Delays may occur during periods of high submission volume or circumstances outside of our control."
Condition on Arrival "Chrysos Grading Services is not responsible for any damage, loss, or deterioration that occurs during shipping to our facility. We strongly recommend that all submissions be packaged securely and shipped with adequate insurance and tracking. Once your submission is received and logged by our team, it enters our care. Any pre-existing damage noted upon arrival will be documented and reflected in the grading process."
Right to Refuse "Chrysos Grading Services reserves the right to refuse, return, or decline any submission at our sole discretion. This includes but is not limited to submissions that appear to have been altered, tampered with, or previously encapsulated by another grading company in a manner that raises concern. Refused submissions will be returned to the sender and any applicable fees will be communicated prior to return shipping."
Authenticity "Chrysos Grading Services makes every reasonable effort to evaluate and accept only authentic sports cards for grading. However, encapsulation by Chrysos Grading Services does not constitute a guarantee of authenticity. Our grading process evaluates condition, not manufacturing origin. Chrysos Grading Services is not liable for any card that is later determined to be counterfeit, altered, or otherwise inauthentic. Collectors and buyers are encouraged to perform their own due diligence regarding the authenticity of any card, graded or otherwise."
Grading Scale Disclaimer "Chrysos Grading Services operates as an independent grading company and is in no way affiliated with, endorsed by, or equivalent to any other grading service including but not limited to PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), BGS (Beckett Grading Services), SGC (Sportscard Guaranty), or any other third party grading company. The Chrysos grading scale is an independent grading standard that exists in its own right. A grade issued by Chrysos Grading Services is not comparable to, interchangeable with, or equivalent in market value to a grade issued by any other grading company. Collectors and buyers should not assume that a Chrysos grade carries the same secondary market value or industry recognition as grades from other established grading services. All grades reflect our internal evaluation criteria only."
Limitation of Liability & Damaged or Lost Cards "Chrysos Grading Services takes every precaution to protect submissions while in our care. However, in the unlikely event that a card is damaged or lost while in the possession of Chrysos Grading Services, our liability is limited exclusively to the fair market value of the card at the time it was received. Fair market value will be determined using an independent third party card value estimator at the time the claim is made. Chrysos Grading Services will not be held liable for sentimental value, speculative future value, or any amount exceeding the independently verified fair market value of the card. Under no circumstances will Chrysos Grading Services be liable for any amount exceeding the grading fee paid for that individual submission beyond the fair market value determination outlined above."
Packaging Requirements "All cards submitted to Chrysos Grading Services must be properly packaged to ensure safe transit. Each card must be placed in a penny sleeve and a rigid top loader or card saver prior to shipping. Cards should be secured within the package to prevent movement during transit. Chrysos Grading Services strongly recommends shipping with a tracked and insured service. Submissions that arrive damaged due to inadequate packaging are not the liability of Chrysos Grading Services and will be graded as received. Chrysos Grading Services reserves the right to refuse any submission that arrives in a condition suggesting gross negligence in packaging."
Shipping Costs "The customer is solely responsible for all shipping costs associated with their submission. This includes the cost of shipping cards to Chrysos Grading Services as well as the return shipping cost once grading is complete. Return shipping costs will be communicated to the customer prior to shipment and must be paid before cards are returned. Chrysos Grading Services is not responsible for any shipping costs, carrier fees, or additional charges incurred by the customer at any point in the submission process."
Age Requirement "Chrysos Grading Services requires that all customers be at least 18 years of age to submit cards for grading. By submitting cards to Chrysos Grading Services, the customer confirms that they meet this age requirement. Chrysos Grading Services reserves the right to refuse service to any individual who cannot verify that they are 18 years of age or older."
Governing Law "These terms, disclosures, and all matters arising out of or relating to the use of Chrysos Grading Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania."
Equal Submission Policy "Chrysos Grading Services accepts submissions from any individual regardless of their relationship to the company, including its owners, employees, and affiliates. Because our grading process is entirely computer based and operates without human subjectivity, no conflict of interest exists. Every submission — regardless of who it comes from — enters the same queue, undergoes the same scanning process, and is evaluated by the same model under the same criteria. No submission receives preferential treatment, expedited handling, or any advantage of any kind. The integrity of our grading standard applies equally and without exception to every card we receive."
Unclaimed Submissions "Submissions that remain unclaimed or undeliverable for a period of 90 days following grading completion will be considered abandoned. Chrysos Grading Services reserves the right to dispose of abandoned submissions after this period and will not be held liable for their loss."
Scanning & Image Artifacts "Chrysos Grading Services utilizes automated scanning equipment to capture card images for input into our grading model. By submitting cards to Chrysos Grading Services, the customer acknowledges that the scanning process may produce print lines or other imaging artifacts on one or both sides of the encapsulated card image. These lines are a byproduct of the scanning methodology and occur prior to image processing and grading evaluation. In the event that a print line is of a degree significant enough to influence the grading model's assessment, it will be factored into and reflected in the card's final grade accordingly. Chrysos Grading Services makes every reasonable effort to minimize such occurrences, however their presence does not constitute grounds for a refund, regrade, or any other form of compensation. The customer accepts this possibility as an inherent characteristic of the automated imaging process."
Privacy Policy "Chrysos Grading Services collects personal information including name, address, and contact details solely for the purpose of processing submissions and returning graded cards. This information is never sold, shared, or distributed to any third party. By submitting to Chrysos Grading Services, the customer consents to the collection and use of their information for these purposes only."
Pricing "All pricing listed on the Chrysos Grading Services website reflects current rates at the time of publication and is subject to change without notice. The price in effect at the time your submission is received and logged will be the price applied to your order. Chrysos Grading Services is not obligated to honor previously listed pricing for future submissions."
Submission Agreement "By submitting cards to Chrysos Grading Services, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms, disclosures, and policies outlined on this page. The customer confirms they are the rightful owner of all submitted cards or have the authorization to submit them on behalf of the owner. Chrysos Grading Services reserves the right to update these terms at any time and customers are responsible for reviewing current policies prior to each submission."
